Annual Car Show!
Join or watch the annual car show as we kick off the parade! (participation in the parade is optional)
Cars will be available at Gude Park, (Laurel Lakes) until 4:00pm.
Everyone is invited to enjoy our 31st Annual Independence Day Celebration Parade, take part in the festivities during the day, and sit back and enjoy the fireworks at night! This year's theme is "Laurel - An All Inclusive City".
Schedule
- 9:30am Parade Line Up - 6th & Montgomery Streets
Antique and Classic Car Line-Up at 8th and Montgomery St. - 11:00am Horseshoe contest - Gude Park (Laurel Lakes)
- 11:00am PARADE - Judging Stand - 4th Street in front of upper deck parking
- 1:00pm - 3:00pm FIELD EVENTS - for Children 12 and Under
- 3:15pm GRAND OPENING -
Flag Raising/Pledge/National Anthem
Invocation - Rev. Warren Litchfield - 4:00pm Reading of Parade Awards and Acknowledgments
- 5:00pm - 9:15pm Band - Oracle
- 7:00pm Mayor & Council Members - Welcome and Introductions Grand Marshals Recognized
- 7:15pm Acknowledgments and Committee's Awards
- 9:15pm FIREWORKS from the Lake
Cherry Lane and a section of Mulberry Street will be CLOSED before & during the fireworks display.
