02/03/10           100 block Morris Drive                     

IPOD and a Garmin GPS system stolen from a parked car.

 

02/08/10           100 block Sharon Court                     

Garmin GPS system, Credit cards, PDA, Vehicle owners manual and U.S. Currency stolen from a parked car.

 

02/11/10           200 block Ninth Street                       

Two Kenwood speakers stolen from a parked Jeep.

 

02/13/10           100 block Washington Boulevard                 

Virgin Mobile cell phone stolen from a parked car.

 

02/15/10           14100 block Baltimore Avenue                   

U.S. Currency stolen from a wallet while the victim was shopping at Safeway.

Catalytic converter stolen from a parked SUV truck.

 

02/18/10           Unit block Riverview Court              

HP laptop computer, Passport and a Pre-paid legal supply kit stolen from a parked SUV truck.

Catalytic converters stolen from three parked vehicles.

 

02/21/10           15100 block Baltimore Avenue                     

Dell laptop computer, Computer bag, IPOD, IPOD carrying case, Bible, Passport, Travel bag, Diabetic medicine, shoes and clothing stolen from a parked SUV truck.

Kodak camera stolen from CVS by a black male who fled towards Bowie Road.

 

STOLEN AUTOS

 
02/17/10           14600 block Baltimore Avenue                     

2004 Mazda M3h, Red in color with Washington DC tags DJ4513.

BURGLARIES

02/05/10          14600 block Baltimore Avenue                     

No signs of forced entry. Taken was the following property: Cash register, white in color and a small amount of U.S. Currency.

 

02/18/10           800 block Washington Boulevard                 

Entry gained by smashing out a glass door. Taken were numerous cigarettes. Suspect was a black male, wearing an all black hoodie, black pants with yellow gloves.

 

02/19/10           500 block Main Street                       

Entry gained through the front glass door. Taken were numerous cigarettes.

 

02/19/10           15800 block Millbrook Lane                         

Entry gained by smashing out the rear sliding glass door. Nothing was reported taken.

 

ROBBERIES

02/09/10           200 block Gorman Avenue                

Laurel Police Officer C. Boswell while on routine patrol observed a man running from the Arby’s Restaurant with a towel covering his head. Officer Boswell exited his vehicle and gave foot chase while radioing for assistance of other officers. The suspect ran to the 700 block of Fairlawn Avenue where he was apprehended without incident. During the foot chase a telephone call to Laurel Police Department reporting they were just robbed by a man with a knife. Police recovered the knife used in the robbery and the money taken during the robbery. The suspect identified as Nicholas Colvin, age 22 of the 500 block Clays Lane in Laurel. Colvin was charged with armed robbery, Reckless endangerment, Assault and Theft.

 

02/11/10           Unit block Woodland Court              

A Laurel man reported to police that he just parked his car and was walking towards an apartment when he was pushed from behind. Two suspects removed his wallet from his pocket as he was lying on the ground. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim received minor cut to his lip. The suspects were described as two black males, 16 – 23 years of age, 5’8” – 5’11” tall.

 

02/11/10           700 block Fifth Street                        

A Laurel man reported that he was robbed by five males who assaulted him while walking on Fifth Street. The suspects struck the victim in the stomach and removed money then fled the area. The suspects had minor injuries. The suspects were described a all Hispanic males ages 17 to 20, all wearing dark clothing.

 

02/13/10           100 block Bowie Road                       

A Lanham man reported to police that he was walking in the parking lot when he was approached from behind by a man who placed a knife against his back and told him not to turn around and give him his money. The victim handed his wallet to the suspect at which time the suspect and another man fled to an awaiting car driven by a third suspect.

The suspects fled on Bowie Road towards Route One. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as Hispanic males, 18 – 25 years of age, one armed with a knife.

 

02/20/10           14300 block Bowsprit Lane              

A Laurel man reported to police that he was walking home when he was assaulted by two men, one of the suspects displayed a handgun. The two suspects struck the victim numerous times in the head and eye area with their hands and handgun. The suspects took the victims wallet, money, credit cards, Metro card, Social Security card School ID, IPOD and Headphones. The suspects fled in a dark colored small car possibly a Toyota. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released. The suspects were described as follows: Both black males, one light colored skin and the other dark skin, both wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun.
